Dredging SSHO memo for distribution
On 2 November 2011, Messrs. Ensch and Dalton co-signed the attached memorandum providing changes and direction relating to contractor dredging project site safety personnel requirements. The changes reflected in the enclosure are scheduled to be included in the February 2012 update to the Unified Facilities Guide Specification (UFGS) 01 35 26, Government Safety Requirements.

This requirement is effective immediately, so until the UFGS is updated, the requirements will have to be inserted manually into new dredging contracts. A copy of the requirements in Word format is included for this purpose.

These documents are also being forward for distribution through appropriate Engineering and Construction channels.
