Draft Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) dredging contract specification SUSPENSE: 15 April 2011
DRAFT specification for dredging SSHO requirements was developed in coordination with the HQUSACE Safety Office and Operations Office, and is being sent to Chiefs of Operations, Safety, and Construction offices for review and comments. The intent is to receive comments and/or proposed wording for issues, if any, from those Districts with dredging operations.

The changes presented in this draft specification are necessary to achieve consistent, practical safety support on dredging projects. The plan is that this will become a special contract clause directed by CECW and CECO to be used USACE-wide, or possibly part of the standard contract specs.

Please review the draft specification and provide a unified District response prior to 15 April.
