E-mails and Memos

    February 3, 2012

Let me quell any concerns about the CDL for MSC Operations Chiefs and the CDL for District Operations Chiefs. As HQ Deputy Chief of Operations, I'm the one who requested these CDLs be deleted. They're obsolete and (with this as a perfect case in point) too cumbersome/time-consuming to manage having to go through ACE-IT (nothing personal, April, just a fact). Ridiculous to have to do an ACE-IT Remedy Ticket every time a name needed to be added or deleted.

Therefore, over 2 years ago I set up DLLs (shown in the Cc line) of which I'm the owner and can make revisions to when needed in about 10 seconds.

And yes, of course we need distribution lists for our Operations leaders in MSCs and Districts, and yes, the owner of such list should be in HQUSACE (which I am).

So, let's cease any further e-mail on this subject and April, please kill the CDLs as requested.

All Ops Chiefs -- use the DLLs and advise me when you have revisions.

    Jonathan Davis
