November 17, 2012 The temporary assignment is open to existing GS15 employees for a temporary reassignment or GS14 employees eligible for a temporary promotion. The selectee's salary will be funded by the losing organization. If the selectee is from outside the commuting area of the developmental assignment, travel and per diem will be the paid by Headquarters.
