    Vacancy - Deputy Chief, Operations Division, Nashville District
    Earlier this week the announcement for the Deputy Chief, Operations Division, for Nashville District was placed on USAJobs for recruitment.     Nashville District overlays the Cumberland and Tennessee River basins within portions of seven south/eastern states. We are a civil only district with 44 field offices in TN, KY, and AL. We manage 1,175 miles of commercial navigation channels, 14 Navigation projects, 9 hydropower plants, and 10 lakes (7 of which rank in the top 25 most visited lakes in the Corps).

    Operations Division in Nashville District comprises of Navigation, Hydropower, Recreation/Natural Resources Management, Readiness, Regulatory, and Management Support Branches. There are 5 Operation Project Managers that oversee the O&M at the 10 dams & locks on the Cumberland River and 9 locks on the Tennessee River. The Deputy Chief of Operations is a "full-deputy" and assists the Chief in the management of all elements of Operations Division.
